It doesn't. At our Montana Fly Fishing Lodge feisty Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout and Arctic Grayling still inhabit the local streams and lakes. With little fishing competition you'll enjoy every minute spent fishing Montana's waters.

You can chose to pursue your own paths or take advantage of our Experience Montana Package. This package allows you to custom-design the fishing trip of your dreams. You can enjoy guided fishing on some of our area's world-famous waters and while retaining the freedom to experience our local waters at your own leisure.

One more thought: While Elk Lake and Hidden Lake and Red Rock Creek offer fishing opportunities to challenge a pro, both Elk Lake and Hidden Lake are great places to get the younger generation hooked on the sport. In fact, we have put together some tips to help you get them started.

One way or the other, "you'll have your choice of three famous rivers - Henry's Fork of the Snake, Montana's Beaverhead River, and the Madison River, Montana - fly-fishing dream waters which are close-by. In addition, local unpressure waters abounding in large, fiesty trout are in your back yard. Elk Lake (outside your door), Hidden Lake (just up the road), Red Rock Creek (just a short drive) and Henry's Lake, Idaho, (just over the hill). You will enjoy hooking into football-sized West Slope Cutthroat, fiestyYellowstone Cutthroat, colorful Rainbow Trout, tasty Burbot, and the ultimate sportfish Arctic Grayling.
